EPALS – Recertification course (RCUK)
Duration

1 day

Validity

4 years

Description

Our RCUK-endorsed EPALS course is designed for healthcare professionals who need skills in managing deteriorating patients and cardiac arrests. It is specifically for individuals who use skills in advanced paediatric life support as part of their clinical duties, as well as those who teach on a regular basis. This includes doctors, nurses and paramedics.

EPALS recertification courses can only be taken by healthcare professionals who hold a valid Resuscitation Council UK EPALS provider certificate, or whose certificate has expired within twelve months of their certificate expiry date.

If it is more than a year since the original certificate expired, you must take a full EPALS course – which are also  available from us.

This EPALS qualification is also recognised by the European Resuscitation Council and the Australian Resuscitation Council, giving you the freedom to use your lifesaving skills in other countries.

Course content Includes

  • Recognise and manage the deteriorating child using a structured ABCDE approach
  • Deliver standardised CPR in children
  • Manage the critically ill child, including those in cardiac arrest, by working with a multidisciplinary team in an emergency situation
  • Become an effective and confident team member and leader by utilizing non-technical skills.

To recertify you will attend the second day of a standard EPALS course.
