The aim of the course is to explore the concepts of venepuncture and cannulation including the indications, complications and the management of patients undergoing these procedures.

Understanding the debriefing process for cardiac arrests and medical emergencies for senior staff, team leaders and duty managers, etc.

Conflict Resolution

Staff should feel safe in their working environments. Violent behaviour not only affects them personally but indirectly it has a negative impact upon the standard of service and the delivery of patient care.

Load Handling – Level 1

This course is intended to give students an overview of the risks of load handling and how to reduce them.

Emergency Thoracotomy

This is a thoracotomy course designed to enable a multidisciplinary team to conduct a clamshell thoracotomy efficiently and effectively in an emergency department.

Fire Safety Awareness & Training (Level 2) 

This qualification develops Leaners’ fire safety awareness. It includes how fires are caused, the risks associated with fire and what we can do to control fire risks in the workplace. It also covers the principles of fire safety management at work, fire safety inspection and the legal requirements related to fire safety in the workplace. Understanding the role of a fire warden is a key component of this qualification.
